1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect information about you when you use our services in a few different ways.
When you register you voluntarily provide us with your:

- Age; and
Your password is encrypted when being saved which prevents us from seeing and storing it.
Further are you free to add to your account:
- The state/province you live in;
- A profile photo; and
- Your website address.
1.2 WHILE USING STYLECARTE
When you browse StyleCarte we also automatically receive and record information from your browser and computer or mobile device, which may include:
- Your IP address;
- Cookie information;
- Software and hardware attributes;
- The date and time of your request;
- How you use StyleCarte during your sessions; and
- The pages that you request.
Please contact your software provider or device manufacturer to find out more about what information they might make available to us.
1.3 LISTING A BUSINESS
When you list and publish a business, the information you contribute for that business becomes visible and available not only to us but all other StyleCarte users as well. As the author of a business listing, your username, profile photo and link to your account pages will be visible and visitable for other users.

StyleCarte may use your personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected. This purpose will be a purpose that is reasonably expected at the time of collection and may be specified in a privacy collection statement at the point of collection. StyleCarte may also use your personal information for a secondary related purpose. By submitting your personal information, you consent to StyleCarte using it to:
- Provide you with products and services (both our own and those of other entities) that may be of interest to you;
- Collect payments and/or administer your account;provide you with updated or new information about products and services (both our own and those of other entities);
- Monitor online activity on the Website or App;
- Conduct competitions;
- Develop existing and new StyleCarte products and services;
- Maintain and update our business infrastructure, databases and systems;
- Promote our and our suppliers’ other products and services to you; and

StyleCarte may use the information that it automatically receives from your web browser to see which pages you visit within the Website or App, which website you visited before coming to ours, and where you go after you leave. StyleCarte can then develop statistics that are helpful in understanding how our visitors use the Website or App. We may use this information to measure the use of the Website or App and to administer and improve the Website or App. Once aggregated for statistical purposes, you will not be personally identified from this information. This statistical data is interpreted by StyleCarte in its continuing effort to present the Website and App content that visitors are seeking in a format they find most helpful.
2. WHY DO WE COLLECT DATA AND HOW DO WE USE IT?
The data we store about you and your use of StyleCarte helps us to:
- Create a safe environment without spam and provide efficient user protection;
- Offer you access to the website and mobile services;
- Operate, protect and improve StyleCarte’s services through monitoring general user behaviour;
- Connect with you for important updates and relevant news and respond to your questions and comments; and
- Support the businesses listed on StyleCarte through providing them with anonymised data about their audience.
The collected information is either “personally identifiable” (meaning it can identify you as a unique person), “non-personally identifiable” (meaning no one will know that are responsible for this data) or is a combination of both types. By using StyleCarte you acknowledge that we may publish, disclose and use aggregated information and non-personal information for industry and market analysis, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.
StyleCarte does not sell your personally identifiable data to third parties or individuals, nor do we reveal any of your personally identifiable data to persons or entities other than our authorized employees. We may, however, share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our business partners and trusted third party service providers in order to display how users are using StyleCarte and its services and to improve StyleCarte.
2.1 WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION IS VISIBLE TO OTHERS?
Your personal information that will be disclosed to all StyleCarte users includes:
- Your username;
- Your profile picture;
- Your home town;
- Month / year you became a StyleCarte user;
- Which Cartes you have created and what businesses you have listed; and
- Who you follow and who follows you.
We will not spam you.
We collect your email address in order to send you information about our services, respond to your inquiries and inform you about important updates and new products.
In accordance to the CAN-SPAM Act we agree to:
- Not use false, or misleading subjects or email addresses;
- Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way;
- Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters; and
- Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each marketing related email.
3. YOUR OPTIONS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION
While we require some of your personal information as part of our Terms of Service you are not required to add a user profile image, your home state nor do you need to provide your real name as your username. However, sharing your real name will create greater credibility with other users and allows friends to identify you amongst other users.
You can access your profile and account settings at any time to review, update or delete (some of) your personal information.
All business listings that you will have generated in your time using StyleCarte will not be deactivated when you choose to leave StyleCarte. We will, however, replace your username with “StyleCarte”.
If you are a business and your business is no longer trading, please inform us via email or the REPORT button so that we can remove the business listing from StyleCarte.
We honour the Do Not Track browser setting (please review your browser’s user preferences/privacy settings). Please be aware that if you choose for StyleCarte not to track your movements within and around StyleCarte you will not be able to use all of the website’s services and features.
Besides the Do Not Track setting of your browser you can also have your browser control our website’s cookies. This will disable some of StyleCarte’s features and the website will not work as intended. You will still be able to use StyleCarte and search for and save businesses however your user experience will be less personalized.
You are always free to request in writing copies of your personal information held by us. In order for us to provide you with that information we require an email as well as a written and signed letter addressed to our head office together with a proof of identification. In some cases we may charge you a small fee (of up to AU$25) but will advise you prior to processing your request.
You may request to have your personal information erased if you believe us to be in breach of relevant data protection legislation. Please address the signed request to our head office and also advise us via email. There is no charge for this service.
Please be aware that the information we obtain from or about you may be processed and stored in a different country than your country of residence, which may provide for different data protection rules. StyleCarte operates from within Australia and at this stage we cannot make any representations that our services are appropriate or available for use in other locations.
3.1 WILL YOU RECEIVE DIRECT MARKETING?
If you provide us with your personal information and you consent to receiving direct marketing communications from StyleCarte, you authorise us to send you promotional messages and materials related to StyleCarte’s products and services, unless you submit a later request not to receive direct marketing communications.
StyleCarte’s direct marketing messages and materials will contain a prominent statement (including, for electronic messages, a functional unsubscribe facility) that you may request not to receive direct marketing communications.
3.2 WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE DISCLOSED OVERSEAS?
StyleCarte is unlikely to disclose your personal information to any person or entity outside Australia, but will inform you if and when this is necessary.
StyleCarte may store some information on your computer such as cookies when you visit the Website or App. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to the hard drive of a visitor’s computer for record-keeping purposes. This information facilitates your use of the Website and App. You can erase or choose to block this information from your computer if you want to. 4. WHAT IS THERE TO KNOW ABOUT COOKIES?

In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and to maintain the safety of your personal information we perform regular Malware scans.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect our site and your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you are concerned, please contact us or stop using our site and services.
5.1 PROTECTION OF CHILDREN
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control, which we honour 100%. StyleCarte is not directed at children under the age of 13. If you find that your minor child is using StyleCarte without your consent, please contact us immediately via email.
6. ACCESSING LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
One of StyleCarte’s core goals is to make it easy for you to find and access great businesses worldwide. This means that business listings will display links to web address and social media profiles wherever possible and available.
Those websites and social media profiles are neither owned nor operated by StyleCarte. We are not in control of the availability, content or the security of those websites, which means that you are responsible for accessing those websites. Those websites and pages may place their own cookies on your device and may collect additional personal information and that is why we encourage you to read their Terms and Privacy Policies before using them.
